Encourage kindergarten kids to learn the animal names:
- Animal Flashcards: Make flashcards by writing the names of the animals and their photos on one side. After displaying the image and asking the young person to name the animal, turn the card over to reveal the name.
- Animal Sound Games: Ask the kids to identify the animal from recorded sounds by guessing which one makes each sound.
- Storybooks and Picture Books: Read animal-themed novels. Name the animals and point them out in the images.
- Songs and Rhymes: Play animal-themed tunes or rhymes. For this purpose, songs such as “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” work well.
- Drawing and Coloring: Give the kids coloring pages featuring various animals, and have them color the pages while saying the names of the animals.
- Visits to the Zoo or Farm: Make an effort to take the kids on a school trip to a farm or zoo where they may interact with the animals.
- Kids should be encouraged to imitate the noises of each animal.
- Invite them to tell you a funny story or interesting fact about each animal.
