Punctuation marks worksheets
Punctuation is the name for the marks that we use to make our writing clear and to complete ous sentences like question marks, exclamation points, commas, full stop etc.
Below are some common punctuations with their descriptions:
- Period (.): It tells the end of a sentence. Example: The sun is shining. The sky is clear.
- Comma (,): It separates elements in a list and shows pauses within a sentence. Example: I like swimming a lot, but today I can’t swim because I am having fever.
- Exclamation Mark (!): This indicates strong emotion or emphasis. Example: Really! Now I know why you like this place so much.
- Question Mark (?): It indicates a question. Example: Where are you going tomorrow?
